We often feel as though we know enough to just go ahead and do what we decide to do. But is this how our Lord wants us to be? The Bible teaches us differently. Throughout the Word of God, we are taught to seek counsel in everything we do.
To humans belong the plans of the heart,
but from the Lord comes the proper answer of the tongue.
All a person’s ways seem pure to them,
but motives are weighed by the Lord.
Commit to the Lord whatever you do,
and he will establish your plans.
To God belong wisdom and power;
counsel and understanding are his.
I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go;
I will counsel you with my loving eye on you.
Plans fail for lack of counsel,
but with many advisers they succeed.
Yet I am always with you;
you hold me by my right hand.
You guide me with your counsel,
and afterward you will take me into glory.
And so, with that in mind, please seek out all the advice you can before you start your move. Use the advice that best fits your situation. God does not tell us to use every piece of advice we read or hear. His wisdom is always in balance. So again, use the advice that best fits your situation. Only you can know what that is. Then build a strong plan, stick to the plan as well as you can, and let's get moving!
Here are some helpful tips and links to begin your search for advice. There are many more from a great many places, but this is a good start.
